I was told by a guy at my work that roofing felt will help keep out bugs, termites and what not, if laid on the ground prior to laying down your mist barrier. As well as add more dampness safeguard. What is the pros/cons to laying down roofing felt underneath the 6 mil plastic.
Do you really need roofing felt for a shed?
Just fixed the roof on my ancient shed (really ancient) and didn’t want to spent much. So I didn’t use roofing felt, I place the shingles on the (ply) wood straight away. Will I be in distress?
Roofing felt?
Recently I just tore off the ancient house roof down to the bare wood and starting to apply felt paper. I applied 30 pound felt to the side that I tore off. But, I am going to use 15 pound felt for the other half of the house. Is there a problem with this or will the shingles and roof not look or perform any different from eachother? Thankfulness.
